Jazz House
Jazz House is a RIBA West Midlands Award 2026 shortlisted project delivered on a tightly constrained urban backland site. The scheme transforms a fragmented cluster of derelict garages into a carefully composed, low-energy home, demonstrating how considered structural engineering can unlock challenging sites.
BRO Consultancy provided full structural engineering design for this complex infill development. The site presented significant constraints, including irregular geometry, multiple party wall interfaces and restricted access. A predominantly timber structural solution was developed in response to both the logistical limitations of the site and the project’s low-carbon ambitions.

Underground Mini Golf
4 storey high steel frame building designed to enable logistical challenges of delivering steelwork 150m underground. Stability of frame provided with cable stays pinned to the slated walls of the cavern to enable undistributed playing spaces for golf lovers.
Cardiff Town House
Where old traditional Victorian building, meets new state of the art modern extension. Steelwork and glulam timber material designed to form this sleek space.
Denbighshire Architectural Bridge
Single span steel bridge for cattle pass to reduce pollution to watercourse. Embankment protection works, concrete abutment, steel bridge and infill concrete deck.
Llandebr House
Converting an old 1960’s bungalow to a modern space, inclusive of opening the space with steel ridge beam, portal frame and strengthened rafters

Timbre cradle structures, designed on foundations that sympathetically protect the underground root web of surrounding trees.
